Well, it’s official. We have 1 room in our home just about complete…our master bathroom. At least it’s done for now…
We’re pretty lucky because we started off with a space that didn’t need much work. The previous owners redid the bathrooms a few years ago, and although some of their choices are not my style (pendants in a bathroom? stainless steel sinks?) it’s a nice bathroom to have! All we had to do was paint, add some accessories, and install shelving, a toilet paper holder, and towel hooks.
The Kohler bathtub is probably my favorite part of this space. It’s just so sleek and luxurious. But get this…I have yet to take a bath in here! Eek. I love a good soak in the tub, but it’s just been too warm to take a bath. I’m looking forward to some relaxing time in here when the temps cool down a bit.
There isn’t a ton of space for accessories, but I did put our DIY marble tray in between the sinks. It’s a nice spot for storage and a few decor items.
I also added a small white cake stand in here to showcase some pretty, feminine items.
I installed these hefty chrome towel hooks directly to the back of our door. I originally planned to hang them on the wall, but there really isn’t much wall space in the bathroom. Instead I secured them to the door, making sure I didn’t drill all the way through to the other side. That would have been bad…
The shelves are my favorite part of the bathroom (and you guys know we love these Ikea brackets as seen in this post, this post, oh and this one too!)
I can display decor items, but also store a few bathroom essentials. (You can check out this post over on IHeart Organizing to see how I installed these bad boys!)
Like bobby pins…
Matches…
And extra toilet paper!
Here are the sources for the bathroom. If not noted, then it’s something from a thrift store, HomeGoods, or from our wedding registry.

I’m happy to move on from this little space and keep making progress on the other rooms in our house. But it’s a pretty great feeling to have 1 room in our home lookin’ the way we want. #babysteps
