Stick a fork in it… Maggie’s Condo Makeover is officially D-O-N-E (heck, we don’t know much about cooking but we do know that this makeover process is probably a tad overcooked at this point).
Although the condo has come a LONG way since Maggie first bought it, the whole process took a little longer than we expected. Waiting on furniture to be delivered, waiting on the built-ins to be built & installed, waiting on the finishing touches to come together, poor Maggie was always waiting patiently for the next project to be completed. And now, she can officially kick us OUT, sit back, relax, and finally enjoy a space that is not only gorgeous but more importantly, reflects her style.
Here’s a COMPLETE recap of what we tackled in Maggie’s #MagMileMakeover series. To read more details about each space, click on the room for full details or a complete source list…. or you can check out the whole house tour here!
Kitchen Makeover (All the kitchen details here)
This super dramatic kitchen makeover was our first project in Maggie’s makeover series and is still one of our favorites. The new white cabinets + new Hickory Hardware + sleek open shelving = a big win in our playbook!
Family Room Makeover (Full Makeover here)
Can we move in?! We are obsessed with just about everything in this room. The colors, the couch, the mirror, the accessories…. {heart eyes on repeat}. For a full tour & source list of this room, check out this post.
New Built-ins (more detailed gushing about the built-ins here)
Finally the most STUNNING before/after award of this condo makeover definitely goes to Maggie’s new built-ins. The longest, most-delayed before/after award of this condo makeover will also go to Maggie’s new built-ins. Maggie hired someone to build this shelving unit and WOW, what a HUGE impact this piece has on the entire space…. it was totally worth the wait! We love this project so much that Casey is in the process of getting a similar unit built for her new place!
Bedroom Makeover (Take the Full Bedroom Tour here)
We really love Maggie’s neutral yet girly bedroom makeover. The unique approach on the traditional board & batten wall is definitely a highlight for us, especially paired with the gallery wall around the TV. This room is “so Maggie” — mission accomplished!
Bathroom Makeover (Full Bathroom Tour here)
Next up, the bathroom! The pictures don’t do this small space any justice! Since there wasn’t any natural light in the bathroom, photographing this room was tough but that didn’t stop us. This bathroom makeover proves that the bathroom can be functional and fashionable without spending a ton of money.
Entry Refresh
Even tiny spaces can be refreshed!! Take Maggie’s 17 inch entryway for example, we didn’t have much room to work with but we still made it happen. A simple drop zone can keep you organized while ensuring you never lose those keys again.
Balcony & View (check out this view!)
Last but very not least, what’s a city condo without a spectacular view + balcony? This DIY outdoor rug cost us less than $20 and completely transformed the space without breaking the bank. Now that Maggie’s DIY homework is all done, hopefully she will have plenty of time to drink coffee & enjoy the views!
Happy Homeowner
What a trooper Maggie has been throughout this entire process! She has been nothing but overly grateful, super supportive, and so much fun to work with. But above all, Maggie is HAPPY and proud of her new place, which makes us REALLY happy and super proud of her!
Maggie,
We could NOT be more excited for you!! We have LOVED our time here and cannot thank you enough for letting us share your first homebuying journey here on the DIY Playbook. We never thought we would say this, but we think it’s officially time to put down the hammer and pick up the champagne glass. Cheers to lots of new memories in your new home sweet home. May your weekends be filled with a lot less DIY & a lot more R&R…. you deserve it.
xo,
B&C
