Now that our master bedroom is done, it’s time to show you guys what we’ve been up to in other parts of the condo…
We got a new bar cart for Christmas and we are both in love with it. Our old one was a $20 flea market find, and it had a good run but it was definitely time for an upgrade. That thing was super wobbly..every time you made a drink the entire cart would jiggle back and forth. Not a great quality for a piece of furniture holding lots of glass and breakables. #ruhroh
This new one sits in the family room by the window, but I rolled it over to a wall so you can get a better look at it. I love how big it is, because now it can hold just about all of our drinking essentials.
It also holds all of our wine glasses, which freed up lots of kitchen cabinet space.
The cart fits perfectly in our window nook, but if we need to move it for a party (or for our Christmas tree), we just roll it on over somewhere else. Very convenient.
Next to the bar cart is our fireplace area, which I’ve been working to spruce up. I got this mirror from Ikea (another Christmas gift….Santa was good to me this year!), and it’s wonderful to have right by the front door. Gotta check yourself out before leaving the house, right?!
In the mirror reflection is a little sneak peek of the other side of the room. I can’t wait to show you guys our new built-ins in the family room. Still working on a few more updates for the space before I share it all!
One more fun addition…we hung a dinner bell in the kitchen. Isn’t it adorable? I don’t know what made me want a dinner bell, but once I got the idea in my head I just couldn’t shake it!
The silver matches with our new kitchen island pendants, and I just love how shiny and pretty it is.
Finn (the chef in our household) loves to ring it whenever dinner is ready. Even after having it for about a month, I still think it’s hilarious every time he rings it. I’m not so sure our neighbors agree…
So there you have it…a few new items around here. It’s crazy how adding just a couple of things to your home can make it feel so different. Baby steps, people!
